Needs Assessment:
The impact of one’s society can either be instrumental or detrimental to one’s educational process and growth. Due to issues relating to social, political, environmental, defense, health, and others create the foundation for the success or lack thereof for each individual student. Since there is a shocking disparity between the needs of the student and community, we need to bridge the gap and create strong ties between one another. In order to effectively and efficiently complete such a task, leaders in the educational field must provide opportunities to students in order to enhance one’s knowledge, expertise, and exposure to a wealth of situations and circumstances. The needs assessment provides a strong basis for constant dialogue and discussion in order to see the discrepancies in education and make adjustments when and where needed. The needs assessment will be based on several factors and is not limited to any one particular mode of collecting data. Ways in which we can determine if there are any gaps are by delving deeply into the following: test scores, pre and post questionnaires by teachers/students/parents, and possible gaps that inhibit us from reaching our ultimate goal: first-rate education.
